Maurice Gendron's Bach Unaccompanied Cello Suites Complete Works Analogphonic Reissue 180g 3LP Audiophile Box Set This is the complete collection of Bach's Unaccompanied Cello Suites performed by Maurice Gendron, a master representing 20th-century French Cello performance. Based on the historic stereo recordings captured by Philips in France in 1964, this is a 3LP box set reissued by Analogphonic in 2017 with audiophile specifications. It utilized the original analog master tapes preserved by Universal Music, and Rainer Maillard of Emil Berliner Studios in Germany was in charge of analog mastering and lacquer cutting. The records were manufactured by the professional German pressing company Pallas using 180g virgin vinyl. Using a 100% analog AAA production method without a digital conversion process, it naturally conveys the deep bass unique to the Cello and the delicate texture of the strings. Gendron's performance provides a solid sense of structure and deep resonance without becoming overly sentimental. It is a representative Philips recording that allows you to enjoy Bach's six suites through a single performer's consistent interpretation. Included Works J.S.
